POSITIONS

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE

POSITION SUMMARY

Under general direction, the Warehouse Associate will assist with the day-to-day functions of the warehouse, including the shipping and receiving of goods, and ensuring efficient, organized storage. The Warehouse Associate is a full-time, non-exempt position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment
  • Unpack materials received
  • Inspect shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies purchasing personnel
  • Deliver items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items
  • Store materials in the designated area
  • Perform inventory checks of all stock and supplied regularly
  • Assist the Manager in maintaining an accurate accounting of inventory
  • Adhere to company policies and safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Prior knowledge of warehouse procedure and practices preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Familiarity with computerized receiving/warehousing preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds and operating heavy equipment.
  • Required to work a 40-hours or more a week, although shift work maybe required
  • Wearing of protective equipment for ear, eye, and skin when in the production area

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

POSITION SUMMARY

Customer service is responsible for attracting potential customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products and services. Customer service will also, process orders, prepare correspondences, and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. The Customer Service Representative is a full-time, non-exempt position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with customers via emails, over the phone, via live chat, or face to face.
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Recommend potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
  • Prepare product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Manage large amounts of incoming calls.
  • Update customer information in the customer service database during and after each call.
  • Performs other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as assigned.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for handling office and general administrative tasks, providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail. Data entry skills and an aptitude for numbers, as well as proficiency in MS Office and Excel.  The Administrative Assistant is a full-time, non-exempt position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer and screen all incoming calls. Announce and transfer as appropriate.
  • Monitor and maintain basic and frequently used stocked office supplies and place orders as needed to refill stock or for items requested by staff.
  • Open all incoming mail, date stamp, and route to appropriate recipient.  Sign for all incoming UPS, Federal Express, and other packages and deliver to appropriate recipient.
  • Reconcile credit card accounts monthly for each company employee issued card.  Collect receipts, and code and prepare for payment.
  • Invoice entry and invoice posting using the accounting software.
  • Assist in month-end closing.
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
  • Prepare Bill of Lading/Packing Lists for all out-bound shipping orders.
  • Log all incoming Bill of Lading/Packing Lists for in-bound shipping orders.
  • Provide administrative support to all departments as needed.

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 1 to 2 years general office experience, preferably in construction, or building materials environment
  • Prior knowledge of warehouse procedure and practices preferred
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Excel required
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Associate degree or higher preferred
